It's definitly not Itunes.

And I'm not running both pro tools and Itunes at the same time.

I just have the audio output of my mac default to the core audio driver that came with pro tools, I'm going to change the heading of the topic.. because it is misleading.

I have this problem with I tunes and with playback from the internet and with quick time. It just distorts when I move around on the system (surf the web, move the mouse even!).
