Hmmm, who told you to avoid nVidia(and why)? My 2 cents is; use nVidia graphics with intel cpu, and use Amd graphics with AMD cpu. Used Quadro K2000 and similar are a relative bargain, but I can't advise on if that's enough to handle your needs(because I rarely work with video)
