Just checked out the AXE FXIII, as I haven't bought my 11R yet, and I can safely say it's way out of my budget. I think this is why the 11R is still appealing because for the price it's on sale for these days, you get a lot for your money.

For me, it's an all-around audio interface and effects processor for guitar, synths, and vocals, plus other advantages like what Benoni mentioned above. What else could I buy which does all of that in the same price range?

From my limited experience of owning an 11R, the display may be a little dated now - but as I said on another thread - the menu is really intuitive. Anyway, I like the slightly retro appearance - I'm guessing they were going for that 1970s machine look when it was made?
