After 9.0.3 upgrade Pro Tools Freezes Loading
Here's my problem.
Been running Pro Tools 9.0.2 - no problems on Windows 7. Did the upgrade 9.0.3.
Started the upgraded PT - mid-load it freezes and a box comes up:
ProTools.exe - Bad Image
"C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\Plug-Ins\Structure.bak.dpm is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing again or contact, etc"
So I click "Okay"
Box goes away - PT still frozen - won't load - can't close.
So - here's where it gets interesting -
somehow, the first time it happened; I re-started PT -
a window came up saying I could only run one PT at a time.
I closed that window.
And ANOTHER window opened:
"Move Unauthorized Plug-ins"
"Protools could not load the following Plug-Ins either because no valid authorization could be found, the iLok key was not connected or the plug in was damaged:
Structure.bak.dpm"
This window gives me the choice:
"Move the plug-ins to the Plug-ins (unused) folder - Yes or No"
Well I don't know if I want to do that - so I select No.
And the previously frozen PT sprang into life, loaded and seems to be working as it should. I have repeated this phenomenon.
Since I have not removed the iLok key since the day I activated the program - I doubt it's that causing the authorization problem.
I'm just wondering what anybody else thinks I ought to do.
Should I move the structure.bak.dpm plug-in?
Anybody think that might solve the loading problem?
I'd appreciate some opinions - thanks in advance.
