I just tried what you mentioned.
Took out Spark and the session operated fine and could Save As. Reopened the newly saved session no problem but as soon as putting Spark into a track the same 'error occur in pro tools application' crash.
Any ideas from there?

Uninstall Spark and re-install, maybe with a fresh download of it
