So I just downloaded the newest version of Universal control, which also contains updated drivers and maybe firmware. It came out yesterday.
I noticed the release notes stated a fix in this version was taking care of an issue with the Studio 192. Text exactly written as....
"Fixed a situation where Studio 192 would not sync clock which resulted in dropping of sample rate event message for external clocks when multiple sources change at once.
Fixed issues related to Studio 192 not following external Sync via SPDIF, ADAT, Wordclock."
I will have to take a moment and see if this improves my particular inconvenience of creating new sessions to get channel I/O count changes recognized by Pro Tools.
