Default Re: MacBook first time buyer!

Usually (I love this about Apple) when they upgrade, the prices stay the same and the lower models move down the price line. Before you purchase Final Cut Express, play around with what comes in iLife 08 (iMovie, iDVD, etc...) Pretty handy stuff! As far as Pro Tools LE goes, I use it all the time with my MacBook and it's been great! The only thing that I don't care for is the screen size while editing, so I use a second monitor in conjunction. But, when I'm just chatting, checking emails, or browsing the web... the compact size is great!
