Cant use Sata2 drive as session drive?
I recently built a Dual x2 4400+ pc with 7 (yes 7) hard drives. My mobo (asus a8n-sli premium) offers 4 sata2 slots and 4 sata raid slots and ide slots. Ive raid0 striped 2 pairs of 2 x 80GB SATA2 drives for streaming samples, i have a sata2 80GB drive for OS, an old IDE drive for storing wav samples and a 250GB westerndigital sata2 drive which I would like to use for my PT sessions.
However, in PT, I get messages saying that it cant use audio on this drive. I searched the DUC and found that in the workspace browser I should ensure that the drive is set to "R", which I tried to do but it wont let me, saying that the drive is not formatted correctly for audio.
My IDE drive and my sata2 OS drive seem to be able to "R" in PT, any ideas why I cant set this moster 250GB Sata2 drive as my session drive?
