plugin boutique 8.88 Iris 2
Boutique has a birthday sale and has a few cool izotope plugins for 8.88 each.
I thought I'd finally get stutter edit and Iris 2.
So.. i demoed iris 2.
Some nice sounds, but this is the most stupidly ridiculous cpu usage I have seen on a VI in years. Neither Logic nor pro tools can play certain patches at even 128 buffer when the cpu is hovering around 3.7ghz, without pops and drop outs.
Crazy!
Considering what is coming out of it, yeah it's nice, but not this nice.. It's as if it has absolutely no optimisation whatsoever and has been crudely coded...
So.. even for 8.88, I am saying no.
How do others feel about this?
