Once you have recorded the midi, you can expand the instrument/midi track and add a lane to show velocity. Once that is open in front of you, you can find the note(s) for the cymbals(click on midi notes to hear them). When you find a note that triggers a cymbal, click on the tiny keyboard on the left end of the track for that note. Now, look at the velocity lane and all the cymbals for that note should be highlighted. Just grab one of them and drag it up(all will increase in velocity). Repeat for any other cymbal notes that are too soft. The entire process should be done in 2 minutes.
