A bit of education has never hurt anybody.
You can still build your personal style. But will be better equipped to do so.


You might be looking for something like The Recording Engineer's Handbook by Bobby Owsinski.

Modern Recording Techniques by David Miles Huber is a classic.


There are many more but you can start your journey there...
