'Fraid not...you set +4/-10 based on the levels of the equipment being connected.

While a lot of +4 gear does have balanced I/O, by no means is unbalanced I/O unusual in pro gear. And while I can't think of any names at the moment, there are a few-highly regarded equipment designers who would stuff a soldering iron some place where you really wouldn't want it to be if you tried to get them to use balanced I/O on their gear.

While I've never seen any -10 gear with balanced I/O, I assume it could be built.

So, if the connectors aren't marked on the panel, you'll need to check the manual(s)...

I do not work for Avid (their loss)...my only relationship with Avid is that of a customer (when I'm not too poor to buy stuff, like now)...and that hot administrative assistant...that's more of a "thing" than a "relationship" (that should keep them guessing for a while...)

Just rockin'...what more is there?
