The only real reason is if you absolutely want to use a non-Digi/Avid interface. Then I suppose it would be worth the upgrade.

I think non-avid interfaces is a huge reason to switch. Also, the crossgrade may not be around forever. $250 is one thing, $600 is a whole other.
