As a work around try this. Make your 2 mono tracks then give both tracks the same name and add to the name ".L" on one and .R" on the other. If you select the left track in Toast, Toast will pick up the ".R" or right track as if it were a stereo file. At least Jam will do that.

but as i say i'm not trying to burn a CD
my hope was to have an interleaved stereo file that does not have any crosstalk into the left channel click track channel
the drummer can take the bleed for some reason even thought the stuff on the bleed is going through the P.A.
bottom line the left channel should be discreetly clean of anything from the right channel and that is not happening AFTER i make the export interleaved conversion
