PT advice already have some hardware
Hi,
I'm considering an HD / HDX system for Windows or PC - I know this is the PC thread so I won't mention Mac here.
I've got Focusrite Red Net hardware so all I need is the HD/HDX to make the PT connection.
PT in now on version 12 but I've seen version 10 & 11 available around and about for PT HD.
Am I best jumping in on 10 and getting the upgrades to 11 & 12? - I did read some users had problems on 10 that got resolved on 10.xx ??? - please clarify.
HDX is better for tracking with DSP and I've read about the benefits. Some users just have HD and still get great results but not as good as HDX but they pay extra.
HDX users get annoyed with losing "voices" on HDX that they don't get on HD.
Just some brief to the point comments / advice please - and like mentioned above I already have Focusrite Red Net which means I'm not far off - plus AN other interface can be added if needed.
Also is there a time in the year where buying would be cheaper?
