Production Methods
Im curiious what general production techniques you folks with pro expereince use on a day to day basis. For instance if your setting up to record a rock tune or whatnot. What do you do first? how do you organize your tracks, faders, plugins, etc.? I work in Design and I have a pretty much set format for how I go about setting up files and producing them. I ask because I get a little lost opening my session and thinking where to begin? Drums tracks? Basic arrangement structure? Secondly whats the role of the artist and producer form the eyes of the engineer, what do they need to have together for you to be ready to do your thing?
