Most definitely.
PTMP Essential has some extreme limitations:
- only 16 tracks, mono or stereo
- only 8 virtual instrument tracks
- only 8 MIDI tracks
- limited plugins included
- only includes Sans-Amp for guitar processing/modelling
- no separate MIDI editor
- no score editor
- Limited automation capabilities
- can not be expanded until you upgrade to the full version M-Powered
PTMP Essential is a good way to get your feet wet using Pro Tools, and it's great that it comes bundled, but it will probably leave you wanting more.
