My take on the HD500 after reading everything about it including this thread is that I will definitely try it out in the store. I see it as a compliment, not replacement to my 11R. The fact that the 11R is my interface alone will keep it in the family not to mention many of it's other great features.

I'm toying with the idea of throwing the HD500 in the 11R FX loop and punching it in where and when needed. I have a GC Pro and GCX, sell the two and bam, there's HD500 money lol. Integrating the two could be a beautiful thing if the HD500 does indeed sound and FEEL as good as they are claiming.

I have not yet heard any samples but I'm about to check them out in a few.
