The G-4's are proven solid performers with Protools, and as a powerhouse computer in general with any application. Any fo the laster model dual processors will provide excellent performance for PT6. Our dual 1Ghz G-4 QS performs fantastic for us jsut running PT 5.2.1 on OS9.2.2, scoring 24/12 in a (5.1.1) davec test. (we haven't run it yet with the beta 32 version) I've run 32 track sessions with no problems.

The G-5 is an unproven newcomer, not capable of running Protools at this point as shipped. (see the aerious posts on the forums regarding this) While I'm sure they will eventually, why be a paying betatester when you can spend much less money to have a proven reliable machine?
