I've upgraded my 2008 macbook pro to mavericks, was told after upgrade that pro tools was incompatible (I'm running LE 8.0.5). Checked the "incompatible software" and found the digidesign midi plugin and the mbox2 plugin files there.
Reinstalled the mbox 2 driver (v90_69594) and hey-presto! Pro Tools LE8 running fine, MBox 2 Micro running fine, other audio sources playback through the mbox micro... haven't yet tried recording audio or midi with my fullsize MBox2 yet, will try later today.
