I have PT 8 and transferred all my sessions to an external HD and deleted them from my local HD to free up some space. Now when I load sessions and attempt to play them I get an error message "DAE error 9096 encountered". Up until now, I did not realize that I need a FireWire HD with an Oxford chipset. My external HD is USB with no Oxford. I was told that this may account for the error message.

My question is this: If I buy a Glyph FireWire HD for example, and transfer my sessions from the current external HD to it, do you think I will able to play my sessions without any play errors?
