You would want to get the crossgrade to PT11 from LE, which is $399.
It is based on the serial number of your LE hardware (002/003/Mbox 2, etc.).
It is also a full installer, so you don't need to try to install PT8 on the new computer (it wouldn't work anyway).
Alternatively, for $699, ($300 more), you could buy a new Eleven Rack, and it will come with the free upgrade to PT11, plus 4 free plugins. If you play guitar (or record people who do), this might be a better way to go.
