I agree with VRW, an Apogee Quartet (Silver) will be way more than enough.
So will USB2, plenty of bandwidth. Unfounded worry!!!
Class compliant, no drivers needed. Software included for routing and set up.
Been editing, and mixing at home on one for the last 2 years.
Big volume knob that can be programmed to "mute all" with a quick push (thats important!!
Its 6 out, but one can use the headphone outs for 7 and 8 in case of 7.1

If it matters, theres also 4 super clean mic pres included!!!
