In regard to your questions about using the 11R as an effects processor when mixing (reverb, etc.), this functionality has been in it from the beginning. The expansion pack does not change this, it will simply offer more effects to choose from.

I don't know if you can use it this way if the 11R is also set up as your main interface. It's a lot easier to set it up if you have another device as your interface, such as a 003, etc., and just use the spidf digital ins/outs to the 11R. In this case, the 11R would function just like a hardware Lexicon unit, etc.

When you go to insert a plugin, you also have a choice of inserting outputs to hardware, and you would just do it this way.
