Cool. You are using these for audio/sessions? How heavy workload (#tracks recording/playback /sample rate etc.). On what OS, with TRIM enabled.
Intel can certainly makes good SSDs, they slowed down a bit in the last 2 years or so and really let folks like Samsung and OCZ/Vertex push them on price/performance. So much is dependent on the firmware in these drives that it is surprising Intel chose to rely on Sandforce vs. acquire them/keep rolling their own. OTOH I have seen Intel try to do software before and it's often not pretty
For write intensive workloads make sure you have Trim enabled for these drives (on Windows use the Intel SSD Toolbox app).
The compression argument has been around for a while, it can help but is by not a requirement for durable/reliable MLC drives.
