Yes, I have experience with EoC. You have to make sure that the provider is giving you symmetrical bandwidth. This means that if they advertise 2Mbps that you can get 2Mbps upload
and 2Mbps download at the same moment. I once used an EoC provider who made this claim and it turned out they provided aggregate bandwidth. This meant that any combination of upload and download that added up to X was what I could expect. I dropped them as soon as their contract expired.
Be careful that what you expect is what you are getting. The service is much more reliable than cable. Our cable modem will magically reset if we max out the bandwidth for too long. EoC will let you max it out and just slow all connections down as more come online.
