Here is the reason of my question. I prefer asking before going into a 85 Step tutorial that will bring me nowhere. I just looked at the General troubleshooting page. I understand that a lot of those things may help increasing the performance (cpu processing) of protools. Updates and everything that could make protool freeze or bug while recording or playing etc. The fact is EVERY TIME I want to start an 8 bus record, be sure it will take AT LEAST 35 seconds. It would be more a 1min average in my opinion. The processor is stuck to ~8-15 percent. The computer seem to wait for something and then 1 min later the HD scratch a bit and the record starts. This is not a lack of ressource in my opinion. Dont hesitate to tell me if you think I'm wrong.
My computer is a XPS 730. I have HD3 PCIe. C|24, and 192I/O hooked up the most standard way.
