And as I mentioned before there are lots of RME gear for sale on EBay and Reverb etc. with very wishful thinking crazy high prices, lots of stuff claimed to be demo or new unopened boxes of old stock that folks are advertising at list price on old tech. Some will bite when you make realistic offers... I've purchased several nice used RME converter boxes in the last year. Never paid near list. And I picked up most in Europe on Reverb.
