Default Re: Questions

-Due to the increased real-time routing/processing features in Pro Tools LE (Aux Tracks, Hardware Inserts, Master Faders, RTAS plug-ins), Bounce To Disk is now a real-time process.

-Reverting to Pro Tools 4.x and AMIII hardware (or PowerMix) is the only way to get a faster-than-real-time Bounce To Disk.

-The AMIII does in fact contain a DSP chip. Prior to PT LE 5.0 (which now runs off the host CPU), this chip was used by DAE uses load its Playback Engine (similar to the Mix Engine when using Mix Hardware). This was all fine and good except for the fact that this DSP was limited to 8 voices and could not be increased. By switching to a Playback Engine which runs off the host CPU, we are able to acheive 24 track playback.
