The CL1B is completely rewritten which may or may not result in some sonic differences.
It also has some new features like a wet/dry control and a side chain filter.
The channelstrip now also allows M/S processing.
(There's a big thread over on GS on the subject, complete with null-testing and comparisons to the different iterations of the hardware CL1B)
