I have removed all third party plug-ins and can still demonstrate this problem with Avid only plug-ins:

Macbook Pro 15 Mid 2015 2.8 GHz i7 16GB RAM 1TB flash

Avid Only Plug-Ins, with WiFi set to On, using AMD graphics (default)

Avid Only Plug-Ins, with WiFi set to Off, using AMD graphics (default)

Avid Only Plug-Ins, with WiFi set to Off, using Intel Iris Integrated Graphics

Avid Only Plug-Ins, with WiFi set to Off, using Intel Iris Integrated Graphics, forcing higher fan speed
