Not the case of D but Ivory Bösendorfer has all 97 keys sampled in 20 layers
una corda and release samples in multiple velocities too
No wonder the sample library is huge. 50 gigs for one piano and that is one set of mics, no fancy choose your mic and placement kind if nonsense.
Jordan Rudess uses Ivory, it says it all.
