I've been using BFD2 with the Andy Johns pack - really amazing samples that are pre-compressed and EQ'd so unlike the stock BFD samples are ready to go right out of the box - you don't need to be an engineer to get an amazing sound.
I've not heard better for indie/classic rock stuff. Have had no problems with BFD2 and PT8.
