1. ARE YOU RUNNING PROTOOLS AS AN ADMINISTRATOR?
2. Did you do all of the system optimizations for your machine, according to the Avid Website? here is the link for that:

3. Make sure protools is installed. Then download an uninstaller program...I have used "REVO uninstaller." Use that program to uninstall all traces of Protools...including instruments, datbases, drivers...everyting...Then reinstall.
Do the same for your Ilok/Pace stuff....Start from scratch.
