I have not yet tested PT9 but I am very happy to see that Avid chose to make it compatible with CordAudio.
I understood that users will be able to use PT9 without a dedicated digidesign/AVID hardware. Good! (even if quite expensive for Digidesign hardware actual owners)
But is CoreAudio going to communicate both ways with the dedicated digidesign/AVID hardwares (DIGI 003, HD...) ?
I mean: will you be able to thow away the dammed "digidesign core audio manager" and use the audio DIGI interfaces (as it should be) with any audio software on the mac ?
I suppose this would mean a system update or a new firmware.
I did not see any documentation about this point.
