The pull-up/pull-down button in PT works opposite of a traditional analog machine. Pull-up is only available in 30NDF timecode and pull-down in 29NDF. The idea I assume is you pull-up to achieve true 30NDF (film rate) and you pull-down to get 29NDF (video rate). Somewhere between PT 2.X and 3.X digi switched the concept. Why....I wish I knew!
