The actual drive may be okay and just the 'bridge board' died. If you have another enclosure plop the drive mechanism into that and see if it works. I had a GPT50 fail on me less than a month after I got it and it was that bridge board that died. Glyph fixed it under warranty.

When my iMac died and given my past experience I pulled the physical drives out of the Glyph cases and put them in an OWC desktop dual drive case to use as backups. Other than a little bit of fan noise due to resonance with the desktop they're solid performers at their task.
