Well well well, it's been a while since I've been here! Which is a good thing as I have just been working away with my setup for years now...but the time has come to upgrade.
Thinking of diving in with a 11900k build. Here are the specs I've got so far:
- CPU: Core™ i9-11900K Processor, 3.5GHz w/ 8 Cores / 16 Threads
- COOLER: Arctic Cooling Liquid Freezer II Series 360 All-In-One Water CPU Cooler
- MOTHERBOARD: ROG MAXIMUS XIII HERO w/ DDR4-3200, 7.1 Audio, Quad M.2, Dual 2.5G LAN, Wi-Fi 6E, BT v5.2, 2-Way SLI
- RAM: Vengeance LPX 128GB DDR4 3600MHz CL18 (4x 32GB)
- CASE: Fractal Design Define 7 ATX Case, Black Solid
- OS: 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 PCI-E x4 SSD, 1TB
- SAMPLES: 970 EVO PLUS NVMe M.2 PCI-E x4 SSD, 2TB (for VIs)
- AUDIO: Reused Evo SSD
- PSU: SilverStone 80+ Platinum Modular Power Supply, 1000W
- GPU: Currently going to use the onboard until I can actually get a decent card. The stock for video cards right now is dismal.
This is going to be used primarily for composing/scoring media and audio post. As always, looking forward to the thoughts of all your amazing minds out there.
Cheers,
Blizzard
