Keep in mind that this one is only 1080p, hence the low price tag. There are several models above it in the line that all do 1440p. I just bought one of the UB88s, which is basically this one, but at 1440p and with thunderbolt 2. Haven't fired it up yet, but it seems nice enough.

Backlight bleed is an issue with these panels, and it's a bit of a crap shoot as to how bad your specific panel will be.
