Hello,
I recently installed Windows 8.1 64bit and I here's my problem:
I'm using REAPER from Cockos, with a bunch of Kontakt VST Instruments. Nothing fancy, the library factory and a few light instruments. I noticed that, from time to time, the sound starts crackling (something like down-sampling combined with bit-crushing). Well, this could happen, since I only have 4GB of RAM, although the instruments are pretty light on RAM. But what surprised me was that it happened once or twice when I was watching a YouTube video.
I didn't have those problems when I was running Windows 8.1 32bit.
Could be a driver problem? (after all it's a 6 year old driver)
