Re: 3rd party ProTools Mixer, why not?
Giving other DAW's the ability to access ProControl would enhance the power of other DAW's and possibly hurt ProTools sales. But Letting a third party develop a ProTools mixer would not hurt sales for ProTools or any of Digidesign products at all. They could only gain from opening it up. I'd imagine the only thing they would worry about is tech support. But I'd leave that to the third party anyway.
