Default Can't open PT on new Imac -- "Required software extensions are missing"

I did check the other similar posts concerning this error message, but many talked about trashing preferences, reinstalling PT, defragging the drives, etc, but my computer is brand spankin new and the error popped up as soon as I installed PT for the first time.

I was running version 7.3 on an old mac mini (running OS 10.4.11) with no problems, and then I installed the same software on my new Imac -- 2.66Ghz, 4MB, OSX10.5.6, and now this error pops up as soon as I click the PT icon -- can't even open a session. Some of the posts indicated it's often a plug-in compatibility issue, but I also tried installing PT with just the stock digi plugs, and I still got the same error message. Is version 7.3 simply not compatible with the leopard OS? And/or do even some of the stock digi plugs need to be upgraded for leopard?

Thanks!
