If you were also adding Strike and Transfuser I would say you could dump the old lite apps, but as it is you may want to hang on to them for a bit. The VI's that come with 8 are nice, but Boom only fills a very tiny niche drum-wise. There are several kits in Xpand2 as well, though...decent, but nothing mind blowing. Meh, hard to say. I'd keep them for now and let your ears figure out what you want to use.
