Old question regarding HD Native system
I am considering in purchasing a HD Native Thunderbolt + HD OMNI bundle.
The AVID homepage explains "Get the same pristine sound of Pro Tools | HDX for less with Pro Tools | HD Native. Instead of dedicated DSP, HD Native harnesses the power of your computer, so you can take on large, complex sessions".
However, I also find several comments on the net mentioning that the HD Native Thunderbolt does not carry a DSP and therefore there is no release of CPU power.
Can somebody tell me what AVID means in "harnesses" and also how efficient this actually is.
Thank you in advance!
