Default Re: Jumpy Playback and constant crashes

First off, 8.0.3 is very delicate, distortion and jumpy playback is becoming a common complaint. I have suspicions that this is clock related but nothing final on this yet. If you can't get it to behave I suggest going back to 8.0.1. A bunch of us are working on this, but AVID coming to the rescue would be ideal. I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS IMPROVED WITH A TEXAS INSTRUMENT FIREWIRE CONROLLER if you are using a firewire interface, but even this has not completely fixed the issue.

Disable all unneeded USB devices and wireless connections.

Good luck.
