under the softkeys 'operation' switch there's a button that displays : 'CFTrks ShwHdn' or 'CFTrks HidHdn'

Custom Fader Tracks SHOW or HIDE hidden tracks.

My pref is set to SHOW hidden.

I hate 'crowdy' edit windows with 60 tracks in it, especially during tracking or even more during editing (comping vocals for example). So what I do is hide all 'unneccesary' tracks. During vocal comping for example I will only have my vocal tracks displayed in the edit window for convenience. But I still have access to the track levels and sends levels through the Custom Fader banks. Although hidden, in Custom fader mode with the pref set to 'SHOW hidden' you still have a physical fader if you need to acces a track that is hidden.

Very convenient and time saving pref that is.
