Yup, plenty of hit records were for sure made on 192's. They are for sure still being made on 192's. I have both a couple of 192's and an HD IO. I challenge anyone to a double blind listening test to tell the difference, nine out of ten times, between them. Of course there is a difference but it is not night and day by any means. We make records all year and we are still using the 192's as our HD system is still the most functional one for the workflow that we need to have happening for the work that we have to do. The source has so much more to do with the quality of sound. Way way more than the converter's.
