Whatever power supply you go with, make sure that the 12V rail is at least 20 amps(split) or over 50 amps(single). My i7 950 can pull 18 amps at full tilt, so you don't want to starve it, which may have been an issue on my 950 system on the Gigabyte mobo as the old PSU was split rails at 16 amps(expect the 960 to pull a tad more). Now running a Corsair 700 watt(54 amp 12V single rail) and its working pretty damn nice(Dverb2 count went over 500
). Able to pull almost 300 Dverbs at the 64 buffer
