Your right about that,

Actually PT informed users early on... Core audio PT core audio drivers for OSX doesn't support both itunes and PT at the same time.

Details of this are in the core audio driver page of Digi website.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news - but you can allways get around it using the mac stereo outs for itunes.
