Default Selecting the Ruler View with a Keyboard Shortcut....

Hi all,

Has anyone here managed to work out how to program the Mac Keyboard Shortcuts to select the desired Ruler/Grid in the edit window?? I have visible and constantly switch between Bars & Beats, Minutes & Seconds and Samples. I can get Keyboard Shortcuts to send the command to ProTools based on the exact name, but the problem is that "Bars:Beats, Minutes:Seconds etc.." appear in two of the View menu sub folders, so it only responds to the first one in the list, which just hides and shows the particular ruler selected, rather than switching between the visible ones I want.

I'm currently still on OSX10.6.8 SL, so maybe it only works right in later OS's.

I've been meaning to try this for ages and one of Dave Pensados "ITL"'s reminded me to give this a go. It's one of the few things that I have to mouse over to all the time, and it wastes countless hours of my time. Never bothered to raise this issue with Avid, as I always assumed it would show up as a PT shortcut eventually, but it never has.

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers
